Top Six Games to Play with Your Steam Controller

Posted in Andy Recommends by goodolandy
Nov 20 2017

I’ve been hugely impressed by the versatility of the steam controller, and the way it has empowered me to play pc games. I went from hunched over my desk with a mouse and keyboard to relaxing on the sofa with this comfortable gamepad in hand. People have asked for it, so here it is. Hi I’m Gardiner the Linux gamer and here are a few of my favorite games to play with a Steam Controller.

Common questions:
What distro do you use?
On my office PC I use Ubuntu 17.10 with the stylish Pop! theme by System76.

On my Steam Machine I now run Ubuntu 16.04 with the Steam Compositor and nomodeswitch packages installed. (This is because later versions of Ubuntu have PIE enabled by default which prevents me from using Dolphin)

Six Reasons I Love Firefox Quantum

Posted in Andy Recommends by goodolandy
Nov 17 2017

Wow. I’ve been using Firefox Quantum for a few days and it’s blown me away. I was getting tired of how buggy Chrome has been, and previous releases of Firefox seemed painfully slow in comparison. Since I don’t trust Google anymore at all, I was stoked to try the new Firefox. And I’m glad to say that this, this is the browser I’ve been waiting for.
