In this review I am going to talk about the Apple Pie flavour of the QuestBar product line.

Apple Pie QuestBar is 60g with 20g of protein and sweetened with Sucralose.

When I opened up the wrapper on this bar, I was immediately hit with an aroma of cinnamon.  The taste is also quite good and actually has little chunks of apple in it.  Cinnamon is of course the post powerful flavour in this bar so if you love cinnamon then you should love this bar.

For those that are unfamiliar with QuestBar, it is a protein bar made by Quest Nutrition based out of California. They make many protein enriched products, from bars to powders to even chips, yes chips. Currently my local nutrition stores only sell the QuestBars. 🙁

I never heard of this brand until recently when a YouTuber named Matthew Santoro made mention of them in a couple of his daily vlogs.

Since I need to lose weight, about 140lbs worth, I figured I would give this brand a try.

Anyone who has tried protein bars know that they can taste pretty damn bad but Matthew Santoro kept mentioning how good the Quest Nutrition products are so I took a chance and I am happy I did.

I picked up two flavours, Chocolate Brownie and Apple Pie and here is my review on the Chocolate Brownie.

The Chocolate Brownie QuestBar is 60g with 20g of protein and is sweetened with Sucralose. For those not sure what Sucralose is, it is commonly known by it’s brand name Splenda. Some health websites are now claiming that new research has shown Sucralose to be harmful to the body and not beneficial as first believed when the sweetener was first created back in the late 70’s.

When it comes to the smell and taste of the bar, it certainly has a chocolate brownie smell and the taste is actually not that bad. The bar does contain crushed Almonds which I am not a fan of so I might use this flavour of bar in chocolate smoothies or milkshakes.

If you are ok with Almonds then I say go and try the Chocolate Brownie QuestBar. I am confident you will NOT be disappointed.
